1. What CrewEcho is

CrewEcho captions a spoken meeting into other languages, live, on screens in the same room. You supply the microphone, the laptop and the screens; we supply the software that connects them to a speech recognition and translation service.

2. Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has it. Accounts are for your organisation’s own use — do not resell access or share a seat between organisations.

3. Accuracy, and what this is not

CrewEcho produces machine translation. It is not a certified interpreter and must not be relied on where the exact words carry legal weight. That includes disciplinary conversations, incident statements, signed acknowledgements, and anything a regulator or a court would expect a qualified human interpreter to have handled.

Recognition and translation quality vary with the microphone, the room, the accent and the language. We do not warrant that any particular caption is accurate, complete or timely.

Using CrewEcho does not discharge any legal duty you have to inform, instruct, train or supervise the people working for you. It is a tool that helps you do that. It is not evidence that you did.

4. Availability

We do not offer an uptime guarantee. The service depends on your internet connection and on third-party speech and translation providers, and any of those can fail. If a session is interrupted the screens hold their last captions and resume when the connection returns.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not use the service to caption a conversation the people in it have not been told is being captioned.
• Do not attempt to extract, resell or redistribute the translation output as a service of your own.
• Do not probe, overload or interfere with the service or the accounts of others.

6. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from a caption being wrong, late or missing. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

7. Your data

What we store and what we do not is set out on the privacy page, and the short version is that no audio, transcript or caption text is ever written down. You can ask us to delete your account and its session records at any time.

8. Payment and cancellation

Subscriptions are billed per concurrent session. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not charge for a period you have not started.

9. Changes

If we change these terms materially we will tell account holders by email before the change takes effect, not by quietly editing this page.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction stated in your subscription agreement.
